Linda Mar

The southern valley neighborhood at the mouth of San Pedro Creek, home of the surfers’ beach and the Sanchez Adobe.

Linda Mar, once called Pedro Valley or San Pedro Valley, is the neighborhood in the south of Pacifica. Its beach is officially Pacifica State Beach but is known among surfers as Linda Mar Beach. Behind it, Park Pacifica is called the Back of the Valley.

The valley is where the Portola expedition camped in 1769 and where Francisco Sanchez built his adobe between 1842 and 1846.
