San Pedro Creek

The steelhead stream that flows from Sweeney Ridge through the Linda Mar valley to the sea.

Pacifica straddles San Pedro Creek, which flows from the western slope of Sweeney Ridge. The middle and south forks, in San Pedro Valley County Park, are steelhead spawning grounds. The Portola expedition followed this creek and San Andreas Creek on the other slope in finding San Francisco Bay.
