Pedro Point

The southwest headland and neighborhood, with Shelter Cove, at the start of Pedro Mountain Road.

Pedro Point and Shelter Cove are the neighborhoods in the south-west corner of Pacifica. One of the Ocean Shore Railroad’s plans in 1892 called for a tunnel at San Pedro Point, now Pedro Point. Pedro Mountain Road, which climbs the headland, was the route replaced in 1936 by the Devil’s Slide highway.
